Physical Therapy Equipment Service - Electrical Safety Tests

Electrical Safety tests are used to insure that each piece of Physical Therapy equipment in your facility is operating in an electrically safe condition. Electrical Safety Test checks to insure the grounding of the unit is in tack and within standards set forth by various certifying agencies.  The Electrical Safety Test also insures that leakage current is within safe limits for medical equipment as set forth by the various certifying agencies. Inspection of the power cord and plug for deterioration or exposure of internal wires is also part of the test performed.

Electrical Safety Tests protect you and your patients from potential electrical shock hazards.  Electrical Safety Tests should be performed annually on physical therapy equipment. Electrical Safety Tests are run on any unit that has a power cord and not on equipment that is battery operated.

Two forms of documentation are provided:

MD BioTek also keeps a record of when your tests are due and calls you in advance, insuring that your facility is not out of compliance with mandatory guidelines. This takes the responsibility for your annual checks off of you and your staff.

To assure the accuracy of our testing, our equipment is calibrated annually by independent calibration firms.
